Race Control System
Compu-Kart’s electro-magnetic race control system constantly keeps you informed of your progress on the track. On arrival, your name and driver number are keyed into the computerized data base and your lop times and overall position will be there to view throughout the entire race meeting. At the end of your event you will be presented with a computer printout of result details.
The Track
The 300 meter long circuit is 6 meters wide, allowing plenty of room for overtaking with many corners. The safety barrier is made up of tyres and conveyor belting. The track surface is treated and maintained to ensure maximum traction even with the most inexperienced driver.
The Karts
Compu-Kart Raceway has imported specially designed karts for indoor racing. Apart from slick tyre’s, it is equipped with a 7hp, 200cc 4-stroke imported Kolher engine from USA which is ideally suited for indoor conditions. Front and rear bumpers, together with protective side pods are fitted for your safety. The karts are capable of up to 65kph, that’s very fast when you’re only 3cm from the surface of the track.
Spectator Enclosure
The large floor area offers a superb panoramic and unobstructed view of the entire circuit. We have sufficient tables and seating for those who want to observe the action on the track. In all areas there is a TV for viewing up to date racing results to ensure you are still in with the podium chance. DSTV is also available for your viewing so that no important sporting events or Grand Prix are missed.
The Racing Kit
Full face or open crash helmets are supplied in various sizes for your comfort. Due to the nature of karting we insist that helmets be worn by every driver while racing. We also supply protective head caps for hygienic purposes for each driver.
